Transient NOE Calculation:
Diagonalization of the rate matrix, R, is performed to find the eigenvalues, composed in matrix form as D, and the eigenvectors, composed in matrix form as c (the transformation matrix to the diagonalized frame).

The diagonalized rate matrix may be exponentiated and transformed back to the original fram through the matrix, c. This yields a matrix, V(t), whose elements, V(t)ij, are proportional to the cross-relaxation of the coupled spins, i and j, in a time period t.
